I wrote and performed on Zoom on May 3, 2022 a monologue called "She Read My Diary" for the May NeoFest of our Neo Ensemble Theatre LA. I'm not exactly sure of how we got on the topic of diaries at one of the writers group meetings, but I made a remark about my mother reading my diary when I was young and how that destroyed writing diaries for me. That remark prompted one of the group to challenge me to write it up as a monologue. You can view my performance on the monologues page of this website.
I'm very grateful to be a part of Neo Ensemble Theatre LA. I had never performed monologues except for the occasional one in front of a casting director. And of course, when I started these monologues with Neo, I had never performed on Zoom either. But the pandemic hit and we had to keep acting somehow to survive, and this was a great opportunity. Acting on Zoom however is its own learning curve. And I'm grateful to the fine, experienced actors in Neo who have helped me learn, craft, create, and improve with each monologue.

Your monologue for the May NeoFest feels powerful, expressive, and deeply connected to personal creativity. The delivery, emotion, and clarity of thought make it truly memorable and inspiring for audiences. A wonderful contribution to the festival’s spirit web development agency
She Read My Diary” sounds like a deeply personal and emotionally raw monologue — the kind that truly connects with audiences. It’s amazing how performances like this can transform private feelings into something universally relatable. Both creativity and cleanliness bring balance and calm to everyday chao
reading the post about the monologue “She Read My Diary” made me remember the many nights I spent wrestling with drafts and seeking the right voice for my research work. In those moments where I felt unsure how to articulate what I truly meant, it became clear that bringing in a academic dissertation editing services partner could help me find clarity, refine the structure, and allow the essence of my argument to shine through.
